The best news I’ve heard for days! OCBC is now giving 90% loan for eligible buyers. For those Singaporeans and Permanent Residents who managed to get a 90% loan before, they may say it’s no biggie. However, for the rest of the population who have been itching to move-in to a home that they can call their own, this is indeed a GREAT development. As you are probably aware, due to the volatility of the current market, banks are only giving a maximum of 80% for Home Loans nowadays. But forking out 20% today is not that easy. Hence, as one of our friends pointed out–his spirit is ready for buying. Now all he needs is the cash.
Okay, before you go out there and start calling out OCBC’s customer hotline please be guided by the minimum qualifications.
You have to call me first to find your home! 
Seriously, you should at least satisfy the following:
1) Both husband and wife should be working
2) Combined monthly income should be at least $6,000
3) The flat to be purchased should be at least a 4-Room Flat
Now, I can’t tell you how long this promotion will last. But I can only speculate that as soon as a specific number of buyers is reached, loans will revert to a maximum of 80% or worse 70%.
