SINGAPORE – The en bloc fever in the residential property market has now moved into the commercial property space as owners of such properties jump onto the bandwagon too.

City Development’s hotel arm Millennium and Copthorne (M&C) Hotels yesterday announced its subsidiary has signed a collective sales agreement to put Tanglin Shopping Centre up for sale.

M&C’s unit, King’s Tanglin Shopping, owns about 35 per cent stake in the building with 85 freehold strata retail and office units, as well as 325 carpark lots in the building.

Situated next to St Regis Hotel and Residences, the over 20-year-old Tanglin Shopping Centre sits on a 68,500 sq ft prime site at Tanglin Road within the Orchard Road tourist district.
